Color. I love it. I have a very eclectic love for all colors -- and when I can marry the observations & compositions I take in the real world with a color tool, I'll do just that. Check out Pantone Studio . It's given me an easy way to utilize photography/instagrams from my recent trip to Mexico to make beautiful, dynamic color palettes. A few I created below:
I think I transported to another planet while in the middle of the AZ desert. Antelope Canyon is quite possibly one of the most stunning, out of this world sites I've ever laid eyes on.
Torn Label Brewing Co. is now apart of my every day. You could probably say I'm invested as I currently curate their instagram account and my boyfriend, Alex gave up his corporate career to become a brewer there.
I'm privileged. Privileged to have access to farm life in my family. A place to escape the monotony of my screen life. A place to be in the natural world, the open air - if I so choose on a whim to make my escape. All too often I live on my tiny screen, only to trade it in for a slightly larger screen on my lap or the "upgrade" to my double-wide (2 monitors) I essentially live on at the office. Farm life is not only a privilege, but a luxury. Dirty work boots, weathered & worn hands, the warm sunlight on your face - all luxuries to a graphic designer. That is why I relish it so.
Sometimes you just have to get on that horse and ride. I guess it's better late than never to start my online presence, even if it's 5 years into my career. Looking forward to having a place to document my journey. Cheers!
